Ryan Maarschalk, CPA - President
Ryan competed as a NCAA Division 1 tennis player for 4 years in the USA before moving to Kelowna in 2003. On moving to Canada, Ryan continued his tennis career, earning a Top 20 ranking in Canadian Men’s Tennis, and becoming one of the top coaches in the country. After some time on the circuit, Ryan moved back to Kelowna and started in accounting and tax with Crowe MacKay LLP, a Canadian accounting firm.
Since leaving Crowe MacKay in 2015 to start his own adventure, Ryan has acted as CFO for multiple companies and worked with many business owners and CEOs. Ryan measures the value and success of his work in the results he sees in his clients. Ryan has represented owners in selling their company, taken a company public via IPO, raised over $100M in funding as CFO, and helped grow companies in the businesses he advises. Ryan has worked in manufacturing and distribution, technology, real estate development and construction, engineering, cannabis, investment funds, family office environments, and other small business. These businesses have ranged from start up companies to $40M+ in annual revenue and $20M+ annual EBITDA; from a lean team of 3 consultants to 100 person payroll; and together constitute almost $200M+ in annual revenue and $1.3B in enterprise value. ​
Shannon Libke - VP Administration
Shannon Libke is at the heart of client relationships and day-to-day execution at Maarschalk CFO. Working directly alongside Ryan, she is instrumental in business development, client communication, and operational delivery—ensuring every client engagement runs with clarity, consistency, and attention to detail.
Shannon brings a relationship-first approach to her work. She’s a key point of contact for many clients and plays a vital role in onboarding, check-ins, and ongoing communications. She combines this with a strong grasp of finance and accounting, allowing her to both understand the strategic conversations and support execution on the ground.
Her background spans operations, client service, and administrative leadership, and she’s often behind the scenes coordinating the moving parts that ensure we deliver on our promises. Shannon is more than just a VP—she’s Ryan’s right hand, trusted partner, and a steady presence our clients rely on.
